Getting to Blush Tree Cottage
The cottage is located at 6 Eacham Road, Yungaburra. Travelling from Cairns, you could drive south and turn right onto the Gillies Highway at Gordonvale. It’s a spectacular winding climb up through the Goldsborough Valley and mountainside, then through the fertile farmland onto the Atherton Tableland. Yungaburra village is 70km from Cairns.
You could also travel in the opposite direction (a slightly longer journey, but no less spectacular) from Cairns via the Kuranda Range, through Mareeba and Atherton. There are plenty of local attractions to keep you occupied along the way. Approaching from either direction, once you reach Yungaburra take the main road past the Lake Eacham Hotel (Yungaburra Pub). Then take the first left past the Hotel, which is Eacham Road. Blush Tree Cottage is up on the left, just before the roundabout. The Cottage is three doors down from St Patricks Catholic Church, and across the road from St Mark's Anglican Church.
